Reproductive and Infertility Counseling

Infertility and reproductive treatment can be one of the most emotionally challenging experiences an individual or couple faces. The process can bring hope and excitement alongside anxiety, uncertainty, grief, and disappointment. Repeated treatments, pregnancy loss, difficult medical decisions, and the possibility that treatment may not result in the hoped-for outcome can take an emotional toll. Counseling offers a supportive and compassionate space to process these experiences and navigate the many emotions that can arise throughout the reproductive journey.

As a therapist, and someone who spent many years in this process myself, I understand that the struggle to conceive is not simply a medical experience—it can affect your sense of identity, your relationship, your emotional well-being, and the way you experience the people and world around you. I work with individuals and couples experiencing infertility, undergoing reproductive treatment, coping with pregnancy loss or unsuccessful treatment, and facing difficult decisions about their reproductive future. Therapy can help you manage anxiety and grief, strengthen communication and connection with your partner, cope with uncertainty, and develop ways of caring for yourself while moving through an experience that may feel largely outside of your control.

My approach is compassionate, individualized, and grounded in an understanding of the unique emotional challenges associated with infertility and reproductive treatment. As a mental health professional with the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) I have spent much of my career sitting with couples and individuals facing this struggle. You do not have to navigate this journey alone. Therapy can provide a place where you can openly acknowledge the difficult emotions, make sense of your experience, and find support as you determine what comes next.
